Aion 2 Castle Arcana Setup Guide: How to Finally Hit Skill Level 20
This guide explains how to properly set up your skills for the Castle Arcana content in Aion 2. While this guide focuses on PvE considerations, many principles apply to PvP as well. To afford the best gear, enchantments, and skill books needed for these setups, you may want to buy Aion 2 Kinah from reputable sources, ensuring you have the resources to optimize your character without excessive grinding.

Understanding the Basics of Skill Setup
The core of any skill setup revolves around three main components that need to align well together: Devanion skills, Bandi Active skills, and Arcana skills.
By default, you have four skills attached (skills 1, 2, 3, and 4). Combined with the basic 14 skills, your starting point is 14.
The Formula for Reaching Level 20
To reach skill level 20, follow this basic principle. Devanion 4 plus Arcana 4 equals 18. You need an additional 2 points to reach 20. These additional points come from your rings.
You can add one active skill to each ring. By placing two lines in the Hand slot, you reach 20. If you use a Chalice or Parchment, you can get extra points, then simply focus on creating a plus 2 from your rings.
Choosing Your Chalice or Parchment Setup
For PvE, you can use any of the following for your Chalice or Parchment: Vitality, Frenzy, or Guardian.
Since you can create four lines of Water Moon, using Water Holy is acceptable. However, do not use Unyielding in that slot. Unyielding on Parchment is Fate, not Life, and will not work properly. Use Guardian instead.
When to Use Guardian
For a Hunter, you should use Guardian only in two situations. First, when there are too many skill stat boosts making it difficult to match skill levels. Second, when you do not have any good Frenzy or Vitality cards.
What About Regeneration?
For a Hunter, rather than specifically seeking Regeneration, the priority should be on Vitality or Frenzy. If your current cards are very good, these options perform better because your Pv stats increase appropriately.
For your Compass and Mirror Scales, match them with Retribution.
Essential Level 20 Skills for Hunters
After extensive testing and weighing options, the current priority for reaching level 20 is a maximum of three essential skills.
Absolutely Essential Skills
Two skills must reach level 20 without exception.
Aiming Hands is mandatory. There is no substitute for this skill.
Sniper is also essential. When Sniper reaches level 20, the HP reduction becomes multi-stage.
Why Sniper Level 20 Is Valuable
The 1.5 percent HP reduction from a level 20 Sniper can cover a significant amount of damage loss caused by taking damage. As you progress into more difficult dungeons, the value of HP reduction becomes much better. Even compared to Sea Knit, which does not increase damage that much, Sniper remains the correct choice.
What About Rapid Fire?
Rapid Fire at level 16 is essential. The remaining points beyond that do not make a significant difference.
Rupture at Level 20
Rupture at level 20 seemed somewhat worthwhile during testing. However, the key question is whether the damage loss from being unable to use other skills while using Parasathr is offset by the DPS increase from Rupture. The answer is no. It does not result in a massive damage boost. It is questionable whether putting 20 points into Rupture is truly worth it.
Better Alternatives to Rupture
Instead of investing heavily in Rupture, put that effort into Eye of the Storm or Hunter's Resolve.
Maximum Stat Caps
Assuming you have placed skills on all your items including armor, earrings, and necklace, here are the maximum values.
The maximum for House of Storms is 36. This comes from 34 base plus 4 from Blue-Eyes, Mirror, and Scales.
The maximum for Resolve is 34.
The maximum for House Eye is 36.
The maximum for Gyeol is 30, though it can reach 34 with Holy Grail 3 and Bell Mark 3.
A Note for PvP Players
For PvP players, compromise at a reasonable level. Using 35 and 34 is strong enough. Even using just 34 and 30 makes a significant difference compared to 33 and 33. Do not be greedy. If you intend to do this for PvP, there is no going back. PvP is very demanding.
Priority Order
Eye of the House is more important than Resolve because Eye of the House comes with Fusion's Slam attached.
Step-by-Step Card Matching Order
Follow this sequence when matching your cards.
Step 1: Parchment First
The best option is to attach a 4 to either Sniper or Handspot. If you attach a 4 to one card, you can attach one skill to each ring. With two skills attached to rings, you complete the 20.
Your critical goal is to make sure you get at least one 4. If both skills end up as 3, you will have major headaches balancing the Chalice and Scales.
Step 2: Rapid Fire Requirements
You need to attach 1 or 2 points for Rapid Fire. If you do not attach ring skills, you can match Rapid Fire with Deva Ion, but it will end at 4 and will not reach 16. Attach 1 or 2 points and cover the missing amount with your rings.
Step 3: Compass Next
For the Compass, focus on Aim. Attach Aim to the 4 skill slot. Then attach Aim to two rings using one skill slot each to complete the 20.
Important: Do not attach Aim to the Chalice or Scales again unless you are grinding for absolute peak efficiency, as the returns drop significantly.
Step 4: Holy Grail and Libra Last
You must include the Fragment of the Back Eye skill. After adding that, if you have one slot remaining, add Vigilance Eye to increase HP, though this is not strictly necessary.
For most players, rolling three slots and saving your decisions is fine. Since you will also do PvP, matching most of them should be sufficient. You can attach two lines of active skills to the Holy Grail and Libra anyway, so adjust the setup to fit your own needs.
A Sample Setup Walkthrough
Here is how one successful setup was built from an actual character.
For Sniper reaching level 20, the base Sniper started at 14. The Parchment added 3, bringing the total to 17. The Libra added 1, bringing the total to 19. Finally, the Ring added 1, bringing the total to 20.
For Hands reaching level 20, the Parchment provided a 4. The two rings each contributed 1. With the base of 14, this reached 20.
For Aim reaching level 20, the two rings already had Aim attached. The Arcana provided an additional Aim 4, completing the setup.
For Eye of the Storm and Grain, the Libra provided Eye of the Storm 3 and Grain 3. With good rolls providing Eye of the Storm 4 and Grain 2, the setup was finished.
About Galestorm
You no longer need to use Snot for the 16 points on Galestorm. With Vaisel, the cooldown runs well enough that you can simply take this instead of the 16 talent.
Even if you just use levels 1 and 3, Galestorm does not lose attack speed because of Vaisel. Since Archers typically keep hitting constantly, level 16 is no longer essential for Galestorm, so you can worry about it less.
Final Summary
Remember the core formula. Devanion 4 plus Arcana 4 equals 18. Rings provide the remaining plus 2 to reach level 20.
You must get at least one 4 on your Parchment, targeting either Sniper or Handspot.
The essential level 20 skills are Aiming Hands and Sniper. The essential level 16 skill is Rapid Fire.
For stat priority, Eye of the House is more important than Resolve.
For PvP players, compromise on perfection to avoid being locked into an unsustainable setup. Instead of chasing impossible stat caps, look for cheap Aion 2 items to fill gaps in your build without breaking your budget, and for a trusted source, I recommend MMOEXP, which offers affordable options and reliable service to keep your PvP setup effective and sustainable.
