Aion 2 Guide: Holy Power Muspe Holy Grail – First Boss Strategy

May-28-2026 PST Aion 2

This guide covers the strategy for the first boss of the new Holy Power Muspe Holy Grail dungeon in Aion 2, including the approach, key patterns, and coordinated mechanics. To ensure you are well-prepared for this challenging encounter, you can buy Aion 2 items such as consumables, gear, and enhancement materials, giving you the edge needed to survive difficult mechanics and meet damage checks.

1. Starting the Holy Grail – Split Strategy

When you begin the Holy Grail, split into two groups.

Group 1 goes to the left.

Group 2 goes to the right.

One person from each group should jump on the blue circular AoE panels to avoid patterns while the remaining three members move forward. Leaving one person behind in this manner allows you to defeat the Guardian Gold significantly faster.

Normal clear time: approximately 5 minutes.

With this method: approximately 1–2 minutes.

While proceeding, avoid the patterns on the sides as much as possible. Instead, take hits from the patterns in the center. When the fire AoE panels appear, jump over them.

2. First Boss: Fillemed Iscariel – Core Patterns

Before engaging, memorize the three initial patterns:

Semicircle

Double circle

Donut pattern

These three patterns frequently cause deaths at the start of the fight.

Laser and Poop Mechanics

One of two things will occur first:

If poop falls first, a laser will definitely appear next.

If poop does not fall, a laser will definitely appear first.

The laser is particularly dangerous. Prepare to block or dodge when it appears.

Laser Positioning – Rear Marker

Enable Display Info in the settings. When you enter combat, a rear marker appears on the boss. Use this marker as a reference to attack the boss's flank.

Before the laser appears, position yourself to the side of the boss. This allows you to avoid being hit by the laser in a single strike. From this side position, you can also prepare your Happy and Block skills in advance.

3. Block Pattern (After Laser)

After the boss uses the laser, it teleports. Following the teleport, a pattern requiring a guard or block appears.

Once the orb moves upward after the teleport, a block-required pattern appears in front.

If you do not block this, a continuous AoE attack will be installed in the storage area.

You must block it using a Block skill.

4. Sucking Pattern

After the Block Pattern, a sucking pattern occurs.

If you do not dodge this with a Just Happy, a cross pattern will appear on your character.

If you are hit by this AoE, move to the outer edge and then return.

This pattern can be easily dodged using the Six-Handed skill.

5. Red and Green Fire Pattern (80% HP)

When the boss's HP reaches approximately 80%, the red and green fire pattern activates.

Party 1 takes the red arrow.

Party 2 takes the green arrow.

Important: If you pick up the red arrow and then pick up a blue arrow, you will die. Do not mix arrow types.

6. Colored Orbs (After Arrow Pattern)

Once the arrow pattern ends, colored orbs appear. Hitting these orbs allows you to move.

Keep far apart from each other so that the orb areas do not overlap.

Move from the inside of the boss outward.

Laser patterns may appear intermittently during this phase. Lasers start from the location of the orb the boss is holding. Pay close attention to the orb's position.

7. Wipe Pattern – 4-Shot / 8-Shot Scatter

This pattern is close to a wipe mechanic.

You will see the boss with orbs appearing around it.

The party must scatter in four or eight directions.

If you are not using voice communication (e.g., Discord), simply move to a position where you do not overlap with other players.

This pattern occurs when the boss's HP reaches 20% or 30%. Every party member must be aware of it.

Key point: Watch the animation and create distance.

8. Whirlwind Pattern

The whirlwind pattern is indicated by a red shimmering effect.

When this appears, a whirlwind spawns, and a laser is guaranteed to follow.

Dodge the laser from a distance, or use blocking and evasion skills while continuing to deal damage.

Safe approach: If you have few lives remaining and want to proceed safely, move away during the whirlwind.

9. Barrier Pattern – Orb Placement (Clockwise Positions)

For the barrier pattern, position yourselves at the 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and 12 o'clock directions. Proceed in teams of two.

Orb Colors and Portals

The colored orbs correspond to the colored arrows picked up earlier. When you hit an orb, it gets pushed back. You must avoid the black hole and place the orb into its matching portal.

Color matching:

Red orb goes into the red portal.

Green orb goes into the green portal.

Positioning notes:

The orb at 9 o'clock shares the same color as the orb at 12 o'clock.

The green orb at 12 o'clock must be placed into the portal at 9 o'clock.

Placement Method

Place orbs diagonally to avoid the black hole. From the 3 o'clock direction, insert the orb into the portal while avoiding the black hole. From the 6 o'clock direction, do the same. After insertion, an arrow appears that can be shot at the boss. Place this arrow within the purple area, aiming relative to the black hole.

10. Advanced Phase Notes (50% HP and Below)

Four-Directional Orb Pattern (50% HP)

You need to pair up in teams of two and push the orb of the corresponding color. If three players enter this range, all three will die. Exactly two players must participate. If a third enters, one person must leave immediately.

Simultaneous Patterns (20–30% HP)

During the whirlwind pattern at low HP, other patterns appear simultaneously with the laser. Control becomes significantly more difficult.

Block priority: Even when the whirlwind appears, you must still block any pattern that requires blocking.

Failure to block a required pattern can lead to a near-wipe situation.

Orb Scatter Pattern (From 50% HP Onward)

As mentioned earlier, the 4-direction or 8-direction orb scatter pattern triggers during this phase. Maintain appropriate distance from other players at all times.

11. Cross and Circular Floor Panels

If you picked up the Red Arrow, a cross-shaped AoE floor panel appears.

If you picked up the Green Arrow, a circular floor panel appears.

Safe execution order:

Bypass the floor panel.

Insert the orb.

Shoot the arrow (Flame Blast) at the boss.

Bypass the floor panel one more time before approaching the boss to deal damage.

Many deaths occur because players forget the second bypass. Remember this sequence.

12. Path to the Second Boss (Time-Saving Method)

After clearing the first boss, proceed to the second boss area.

If you drop in the 3 o'clock direction, you can proceed immediately.

All players should wait.

Party 1 proceeds clockwise.

Party 2 proceeds counter-clockwise.

Destroy the Crimson R located here to advance to the next stage.

This method saves significant time.

Summary of Key Mechanics

Initial approach: Split left and right. One person jumps on blue circular AoE panels. Three move forward. This reduces Guardian Gold clear time from 5 minutes to 1–2 minutes.

Three starting patterns to memorize: Semicircle, double circle, and donut pattern.

Laser rules: If poop falls first, laser appears next. If poop does not fall, laser appears first. Position to the side using the rear marker from Display Info.

Block Pattern (after teleport): Must block. Failure causes continuous AoE in the storage area.

Sucking pattern: Dodge with Just Happy or Six-Handed skill. If hit, move to outer edge then return.

At 80% HP: Party 1 takes red arrow. Party 2 takes green arrow. Never pick up blue arrow after red.

Colored orbs: Stay far apart. Move inside to outside. Watch the boss's orb for laser direction.

Wipe pattern (20–30% HP): Scatter in 4 or 8 directions. Watch animation and create distance.

Whirlwind pattern: Red shimmer indicates whirlwind plus guaranteed laser. Move away for safety.

Barrier pattern: Positions at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock. Teams of two. Place orbs diagonally to avoid black hole. Red orb to red portal. Green orb to green portal. The green orb at 12 o'clock goes to 9 o'clock portal.

At 50% HP: Four-directional orb pattern requires exactly two players per orb. Three players in range causes all three to die.

Floor panels: Red arrow causes cross-shaped AoE. Green arrow causes circular AoE. Sequence: bypass panel → insert orb → shoot arrow → bypass panel again before damaging boss.

Path to second boss: Drop at 3 o'clock. Party 1 clockwise. Party 2 counter-clockwise. Destroy Crimson R.

Final Tips

This strategy has been successfully executed without a healer. Do not overcommit damage during the whirlwind pattern. Take your time during whirlwind phases to avoid overlapping mechanics. Watch boss animations carefully – they tell you which pattern is coming next.
