Elden Ring DLC Guide: The "Teleporting Wizard" Build (Pure Chaos & One-Shots)

May-04-2026 PST Elden Ring

Welcome back to another Elden Ring DLC build guide. Today, we are diving into one of the scariest setups you can run in the Lands Between: The Teleporting Wizard. If you want to skip the grind and buy Elden Ring Runes to get this build online faster, that's totally up to you. This build is built around Miriam’s Vanishing (the Ash of War). We aren’t just casting spells; we are breaking ankles, breaking lock-ons, and making players panic roll into a giant moon. If you want style, combos, and one-shot potential, this is the guide for you.

The Core Philosophy: Miriam’s Vanishing

Most wizards sit back and spam pebbles. Not this one. Miriam’s Vanishing lets you teleport mid-combat, breaking your opponent’s lock-on. You use this to reposition behind them or to set up devastating combos.

The Main Combos:

1. The Melee Combo: Vanishing > Carian Greatsword > Carian Piercer.

2. Why it works: The Greatsword catches them off guard; the Piercer hits them as they try to roll out.

3. The Tank Trade: Vanishing > Gavel of Haima.

4. Why it works: The Gavel gives you massive poise. Most players don’t expect a wizard to tank a hit and bonk them back to the grace site.

5. The Nuke (My Favorite): Vanishing > Ranni’s Twin Moons.

6. Why it works: The teleport confuses them. The huge AOE of the moons catches panic rolls. This has the highest one-shot potential on a wizard. If they stay together, you kill the whole team.

Stats (Level ~150-168)

· Intelligence: 80 – This is your damage. Max it.

· Dexterity: 40 – Pair this with the Radagon Icon to hit max cast speed. You need your spells to come out fast after the teleport.

· Vigor / Mind / Endurance: Distribute the rest here.

1. Vigor: Don't be a squishy wizard. You need HP to trade.

2. Mind: Enough for 2-3 combos.

3. Endurance: Get enough for decent armor (see below).

Gear & Casting Tools

Staffs (Dual Wield)

· Main Hand: Lusat’s Glintstone Staff.

· Why: Highest sorcery scaling at 80 Int. Yes, it increases FP cost, but we are one-shotting people. We don't care about FP efficiency.

· Offhand (Swap depending on the fight):

1. For Sword combos: Carian Glintstone Staff (boosts Carian sword sorceries).

2. For Moon nukes: Carian Regal Scepter (boosts full moon sorceries).

Armor

· Poise Target: 88+ (without Bull-Goat Talisman).

· Helmet: Circle of Light (+1 Intelligence, Faith, Arcane). Free stats for the build.

Talismans (The Standard Wizard Loadout)

1. Graven School – Increases sorcery damage.

2. Graven Mass – Increases sorcery damage even more. (Stack them).

3. Godfrey Icon – Essential for charged spells (like the Moons and Comet).

4. Radagon Icon – Boosts cast speed. Mandatory with your 40 DEX.

Invasions: Chase’s Commentary (The Highlights)

Here is how the build performs in the wild, based on my actual invasions.

Clip 1: The Ambush (Leyndell Royal Capital)

· The Setup: I saw a statue turn around. I pretended I didn’t see them.

· The Plan: Teleport into Twin Moons.

· The Reality: I didn't hold the button down and accidentally used Piercer. Ambush ruined, but we fought it out.

· The Lesson: Always double-check your spell slots before engaging. When I finally landed the moons? Double kill. The vanishing makes the moons unavoidable.

Clip 2: The Fingerprint Shield (Hero’s Grave)

· The Problem: A guy hiding behind a Fingerprint Shield. Wave of Gold spam.

· The Solution: Don't play his game. I realized the Moons do stamina damage and AOE around the shield.

· The Result: "Hi guys, Moon... Oh, the two for one."

· The Lesson: Against turtles, the Moon combo is better than the sword combo. Stay calm and wait for them to stand close together.

Clip 3: The Confused Bleed Build (Lakes / Water)

· The Situation: A Rivers of Blood user and a lightning incantation spammer on water (water + lightning = bad for me).

· The Tactic: Pretend to go for the host, bait the phantom. Teleport behind the phantom.

· The Quote: "Moon just to delete one of you."

· The Lesson: Always kill the phantom first. The host panics when they are alone.

Clip 4: The 1v1 Duelist (Grave Site Plain)

· The Opponent: A skilled player using skull spells and a Claymore.

· The Strategy: Mix up your follow-ups. I did Vanishing > Comet instead of Vanishing > Sword. He was expecting the melee combo.

· The Quote: "This is what mixing it up does. Confuses the other player, sir."

· The Warning: If they run away from you and spam homing skulls, just run away too. Make them waste FP. Eventually, they will get bored and rush you. That's when you Slicer them to death.

Clip 5: The Aggressive Gank (Specimen Storehouse)

· The Threat: Two players rushing me down aggressively.

· The Counter: Endure.

· The Play: "If teams are overly aggressive... endure does really solve that." Pop endure, cast Twin Moons in their face. If they don't respect the hyper armor, they die.

Closing Advice from Chase

I honestly love this build. It enhances the Carian sword sorceries (which are my favorites) and makes it easy to land Ranni's Twin Moons. If you're looking to gear up without the grind, you can buy cheap Elden Ring Items from MMOEXP to get everything you need for this setup fast and affordably. Remember: Be unpredictable. Don't always attack immediately after the teleport. Sometimes just teleport to scare them. Watch their dodge patterns. If they panic roll, drop the Moon. If they hold block, drop the Moon. If they try to trade, drop the Gavel.
